- In principle, the Korean Journal of Remote Sensing (KJRS) publishes original research articles in all fields related to remote sensing; however, in some cases, authors may also publish reviews and articles or communications in the form of short reports or short notes in addition to research articles.
- KJRS requires that only articles that have not been published elsewhere be considered for publication, and that submitted articles not be considered for publication by other publications during the review process.
- Articles submitted to KJRS must contain previously unpublished content, minimize redundancy with other related publications, and redundant content must be limited to the introduction as much as possible; however, articles presented at the conference may be published in a revised or supplemented form.
- Authors of articles submitted to KJRS’s local language edition should prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the requirements set out below.
- 1) The manuscript must be written in Korean or English, and the author must thoroughly review the article for grammatical, technical, and notational errors before submission.
- 2) Manuscripts must be written in a word processor on white paper of A4 (210×290 mm) or Letter (85×11 inch) size, double-spaced, one column, with margins of at least 2 cm. In principle, manuscripts should not exceed 40 pages in length, including tables and figures, but in some cases, depending on the nature of the article, manuscripts of an exceeding length may be accepted.
- 3) The manuscript must include an introduction (background and purpose of the study), a conclusion (expectations and limitations of the study), and a list of references.
- 4) Korean manuscripts must include a title, the names, affiliations, and positions of all authors, and an abstract in English and Korean. A Korean or English abstract should not exceed 500 words and should be followed by keywords within 7 words in Korean or English.
- 5) Abbreviations of technical terms used in the text should be defined at the first use in the text and the use of abbreviations should be limited if possible.
- 6) Special characters or symbols should be clearly marked, and subscripts should be clearly distinguished from related characters. In principle, metric units should be used, and one space should be left between numbers and metric units, and symbols such as temperature and % should be attached to numbers.
- 7) Equations should be clearly written in triple space, and a single symbol or letter in an equation should represent only one property and should be used consistently throughout the article. Equations should be serially numbered in Arabic numerals and aligned to the right margin.
- 8) Titles of tables and figures must be in English and contain a self-summary of the contents. Tables and figures must be serially numbered in Arabic numerals in the order in which they are cited. Titles of graphs must be self-descriptive and not use simple symbols.
- 9) Figures should be laser prints or equivalent drawings so that they can be clearly seen when printed at a reduced size. In principle, photographs should be submitted as originals, but for publication review, copies that are comparable to the originals are acceptable; however, the originals should be submitted when submitting the final manuscript after acceptance.
- 10) Tables and figures should have a maximum size of 7×20 cm for one column and 15×20 cm for two columns. Tables, figures, and photographs submitted in the appendix should be labeled with the author's name and relevant serial number on the back or in the left corner in an area unrelated to the content, and the exact location of the insertion should be indicated in the text.
- 11) In the references, only the literature cited in the text must be written in English. The references are listed in alphabetical order by author's name, starting first with the literature with fewer authors by year. If the author's name and year cannot be distinguished, the year is used by adding a, b, or c. The references should be written as follows:

- Articles submitted to KJRS will be reviewed by two or more experts selected as reviewers in related fields, and after completion of the review, the editorial board will decide whether or not to publish the article. The review is confidential to the reviewers and authors. Only for articles that are finally accepted by the editorial board through the article review process, the authors must submit one final revised manuscript and an electronic media file of the manuscript contents by e-mail or storage media. The electronic media file must be written using MS Word.
- All articles submitted to KJRS will not be published without the signature of the author(s) in the form required by copyright law, and permission to use excerpts in other publications is the responsibility of the author(s).
