Call for Papers for the February 2025 Issue (Regular Deadline: Jan 29; Fast Track Deadline: Feb 5)

Dear Authors,

We are now accepting submissions for the February 2025 issue of the Korean Journal of Remote Sensing (KJRS).
Please note that all submissions must be made through our new website at https://www.kjrs.org/.

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Korean Society of Remote Sensing, we are offering a promotional discount on publication fees for English-language manuscripts. We encourage all members to actively participate and submit their manuscripts.


1. Journal Information

 

2. Publication Date

  • Feb 28, 2025 (Vol. 41, No. 1, Korean/English Combined Edition)
  • Each issue will include both Korean and English-language papers.


3. Submission Guidelines

  • Log in to the new submission system (https://www.kjrs.org/submission) and click “Author → Submit New Manuscript” to submit your paper.
  • You must register separately for the submission system (it is different from the society’s website).
  • Please submit your file according to the attached manuscript templates for both Korean and English. Papers that do not conform to the journal’s format may be rejected without review.


4. Submission Deadlines (Strict Adherence Required)
Regular Review Deadline: Jan 29, 2025
Fast Track Review Deadline: Feb 5, 2025 (Review fee: KRW 300,000, review completed within two weeks)

  • *The fast track review fee is waived for English-language manuscripts.
  • One week prior to publication will be reserved for editing and proofreading.

1. Korean/English Combined Issues

2. Changes to Publication Fees

Starting in 2024, we are transitioning to online-only publication. Printing costs will be integrated into editing fees. All articles published online will be in full color.

Korean Paper Publication Fee 7. Authors are required to pay the following fees per paper:
a. Basic submission fee: KRW 100,000
b. KRW 25,000 per black-and-white page
c. KRW 100,000 per color page
d. Separate reprint costs
e. Urgent review fee: KRW 300,000		 7. Authors are required to pay the following fees for accepted papers:
a. Basic publication fee: KRW 200,000
(KRW 300,000 for papers funded by research grants)
b. KRW 25,000 per page for editing fees
c. Urgent review fee: KRW 300,000
d. Separate reprint costs
English Paper Publication Fee - (40th Anniversary Promotion)

Only the basic publication fee is required for accepted English-language papers: 
Basic publication fee: KRW 200,000

(Research funding exemptions, editing fees, and urgent review fees are waived)
